A Confidence Builder
Young people are capable of more than we give them credit for.
This course turns curious teens into confident young caregivers, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and compassion to care for children from infancy through age seven.
They’ll leave knowing how to read a room, handle an emergency, and show up like a professional.
Taught By Early Childhood Educators
Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) are registered, degree-trained professionals who specialize in child development and the care of young children. In Ontario, ECEs must meet rigorous educational requirements, maintain registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators, and pass background checks before working with children in any capacity.
What Your Child Will Learn
The course covers eight modules, designed by ECEs to flow naturally from one skill to the next.
Is this Course Right For Your Child?
The Responsive Babysitting Course is designed for youth between the ages of 9 and 13. No experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in working with younger kids.
This is a great fit for young people who are curious about earning their own money through babysitting, kids who spend time around younger siblings, cousins, or neighbours, and youth who want to develop leadership skills and take on more responsibility.

Because the way a 9-year-old learns to handle an infant is not the same way an adult does. ECEs understand child development from both sides of the equation. They know how to teach safety and care to young people in a way that actually sticks, using the right language, the right scenarios, and the right level of hands-on practice for the age group.
When you enrol your child in this course, they're not learning from a slide deck. They're learning from professionals who do this work every day.
